Manifesto to Love

Society favors the few: the ones who fit into ALL the right categories. Only they have it easy; only they are special.

You have to be a man—who loves women, and your value is determined by how beautiful a woman you can attract. But in order to do that, you have to be beautiful yourself. You have to be tough, muscular, and strong. You have to be healthy, without any disease or handicap; and you have to be athletic. You need to be slightly above average height, and clean-shaven wherever you go.

Furthermore, you have to be Caucasian, of Western European decent; and you have to be an American. You have to be patriotic, supporting the troops wherever they go. You have to be a Christian, of just the right brand.

And of course, you need money—and loads  of it. You need just the right kind of car, and just the right kind of house. You need just the right job, and you need to be successful in every venture. You need to have a family—usually two kids, a boy and a girl.

And when someone does not have even one of these, they are marginalized and excluded. They are made to feel ashamed for their apparent inadequacies. They are bullied because of…who they are.

But all of this is a lie. No one is more  special than any other. Here me when I say, “We are all people.”

We all have value; we all desire the same things: Security. Love. Attachment. Connection. Does anyone deserve these more than any other?

NO!

So stop trying to make yourself feel like you are better than others. Instead, love all and love equally.

Love the poor as much as the rich. Love the tall; but really love the short. Love the fat; love the skinny. Love the right-handed, and the left-handed. Love those with physical deformities; love those with disabilities, both physical and mental. Love the sick, as well as the healthy.

Love men; love women; love the transgendered. Love the gays, straight, lesbians, and bisexuals. Love whatever.

Love the African-Americans, Latin-Americans, Asian-Americans, Native-Americans, Caucasian-Americans; and on top of that, love anyone who is not an American. Love Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and people of all other religions; and even more, love the Atheists.

Love those who are criminals: murders, thieves, etc. Love the old, middle-aged, teenagers, and the young. Love Democrats and Republicans.

But above all: Love all, no matter what.
